Congratulations to Assistant Superintendent Shane Holman on receiving the prestigious award from Region 13 as Star of the Month. This award is given to those who are making an impact on their school district. We appreciate all Shane has done for Giddings ISD in his 32 years of service in education. The Giddings Girls Regional qualifiers traveled to Dublin, Texas on Friday to compete at the Girls Regional Championships.
The Girls team finished 2nd in the team standings for the meet.
The Girls team results are : Maylin Caldera finished 8th in her class with a personal best total of 695 lbs., Audrey Nicks finished 9th in the 114 lbs, class with
a personal best total of 575 lbs., Jaci Garcia finished 2nd in the 97 lbs. class with a personal best total of 445 lbs., Kayla Herrera finished 1st in the 123 lbs. class
with a 710 lbs. total, Christina Beard finished in 3rd place in the 132 unequipped class with a 530 lbs., total, Avery Mueller finished 2nd in the 181 class with a personal
best total of 895 lbs., Jaiden Saucedo finished 1st in the 198 lbs. class with a personal best total of 1000 lbs., Angela Garcia finished 5th in the 242+ class with a personal
best total of 850 lbs., Keira Blue finished 4th place in the 242+ class with a personal best total of 975 lbs., Addison Davis finished 3rd in the 242+ class with a personal best total of 980 lbs., Ariana Ramirez finished in 2nd place in the 242+ class with a personal best total of 1070 lbs., and Adriana Garcia finished 1st with a personal best total of 1135.
9 Girls Qualified for the State Meet in Frisco Texas on March 14th and 15th 2024.

Computer Science students sent two teams to the 2024 HPE CodeWars event in Houston. CodeWars is a programming contest organized by HPE volunteers in which students demonstrate their coding skills by solving more than 30 problems in just 3 hours. The students participating this year include Kooper Bloodworth, Georges Baz, Naomi Aguilar-Flores, Jonathan Marshall, Pablo Luna, and Braden Mueth.

NOTICE!! Friday game update for GHS Softball!!


All Class Dues are due by this Friday March 1st in order for any student who plans on attending prom to receive their prom ticket, this includes GHS Guests of a Junior or Senior.
What are class dues and what used for at GHS?
Class dues are to be paid each year they attend GHS starting their Freshman year all the way to Senior year.
Class dues are used towards certain events throughout your students time at GHS. For example their Junior year, dues for that year and previous years are used for Prom expenses such as venue rental or decorations. Their Senior year, dues are used to help cover the cost of their Senior trip.
