We wanted to give you some information and time to prepare for potential traffic adjustments on US 77. Below are the projected changes and dates they will occur. We anticipate this will cause some added travel time for students (and parents) both in the morning and returning from lunch. Please plan accordingly and drive safe. Traffic is expected to be in this configuration until early-to-mid summer.

This past weekend Giddings High School had 3 teams compete in the Ingleside High School Regional Competition. Even though the weather was tough with the temperatures dropping from 70 to 54 degrees and wind at 20-35 mph, they were still able to bring home some awards.
Junior Ranch Hands (Hagen Boullion, Kaden Kasper, Emma Meachen, Chase Ramirez)
- Placed 2nd overall (Reserve Champions) and a state qualifier
Smoking Buffs (Maylin Caldera, Everett Corn, Elliot Scholz, Nathan Snyder)
- Placed 8th overall and a state qualifier
Grill Billies (Hunter Eyler, Skylar Johnson, Rebekkah Richardson, Kaleb Sherrod)
- Placed 10th overall and a state qualifier
Additionally, Kaden Kasper placed 2nd in brisket, Hagen Boullion placed 3rd in ribs, and Nathan Snyder placed 3rd in dessert.

As we settle in to this semester we just want to remind students and parent, Per HB 1481 Students are expected to have their personal communication device powered off and out of sight (in a bag/backpack, not pant pockets) prior to entering the school building.
Only clear containers may be used for drinks during the school day (exception: during our lunch hour 12:05 pm - 1:05 pm). No canned drinks/energy drinks in the classroom (Alani's, Monster's, etc.)
