UIL Academics and Speech had a meet at Hendrickson High School on Sat, Feb. 11.
Giddings HS placed 4th overall.
Team events and individuals were awarded as follows:
Accounting: 1st place team consisting of Emily Butler (2nd), Emilee Powell (4th), Jonathan Luna (5th), and Rocky Eyler (6th)
Computer Applications: Ehren Mitschke (2nd) and Ashley Linares (4th)
Computer Science: 2nd place team consisting of Kayden Bloodworth (2nd), Kooper Bloodworth, Braden Meuth, and Evan Young
Feature Writing: Paige Aguilar (3rd)
Literary Criticism: 2nd place team consisting of Ruby Meachen (6th), Kayla Gonzales, and Jaelyn Lebron
Poetry: Iliana Zavala (6th)
Prose: Reagan Hinze (6th)
Spelling and Vocabulary: 3rd place team consisting of Lillie Pietsch (6th), Abby Iselt, Emily Schulze, and Kamdin Soto
