TOMORROW NIGHT! GES Open House! Thursday, August 11, 4:30 to 6pm Meet the Teacher, drop off school supplies AND... ** The transportation department will be available from 4:30-5:30 to verify bus routes, times, etc for your child. ** The GES PTO will be selling 22-23 GES shirts for $15 (Youth XS-Adult XL), $18 (XXL & 3XL). They accept CASH or CHECK. ** GISD football season tickets will be available for purchase. ** Parents can sign students up for the "Future Buffalo" football program. We look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday!!

Don't forget! Giddings Elementary Open House / Meet The Teacher is THURSDAY, Aug. 11 from 4:30-6:00pm. This is a good time to meet the child's homeroom teacher and drop off school supplies.

Reserved seating football tickets are now available for purchase at Giddings High School prior to the first game. There are many reserved seats available for purchase. Reserve season tickets are $8.00 per game or $40.00 for all 5 home games. The first home game is Friday, September 9th versus Lago Vista. Previous ticket holders will have the option of obtaining the same seats as the 2021 season before the first home game. On Monday, September 12th, all unclaimed, previous year, reserved season tickets will go on sale following the first home game. Reserved tickets will remain on sale at Giddings High School during the football season for purchase. Reserved seating will also be sold at the first home game ONLY so get them early.

Giddings Elementary School Open House will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 4:30 to 6:00pm. This will be a great time to meet your teachers and drop off school supplies! (Your child's homeroom teacher will reach out prior to Open House.)

TEA has announced that STAAR assessment results will not be available until July 1. At that time, you may view you child's test results by logging on at https://www.texasassessment.gov/. This requires a unique access code for your student. If you do not know your child's unique access code, you can retrieve it by clicking on the link on the TexasAssessment web page titled "Lookup unique access code". Dear parents and families, As you know, our students took the STAAR tests earlier this spring. Soon you will receive your child’s STAAR scores. The STAAR is one of many ways to measure student learning. Teachers will use STAAR results along with other information to co-create learning plans with families to jumpstart learning next year. Starting on June 24th, you will be able to access your child’s STAAR results by logging into TexasAssessment.gov. Use the unique access code listed below and enter it on the Texas Assessment homepage. This will take you directly to your child’s STAAR results, which will include detailed breakdowns in each subject, identifying your child’s strengths as well as areas where they may need additional support. Parents have shared that seeing which questions their child got incorrect has been the most useful. You will also see easy to use resources that can be used at home over the summer focused on the skills your child needs the most support with. We encourage you to log in and learn more any time beginning June 24th. Use this information along with your own observations from the past year and your child’s grades to create a learning plan with teachers in the fall to help your child succeed. Giddings ISD has two locations to stop by and enjoy summer meals. Summer meals provided are for children 18 and younger and enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old. Both feeding sites will be open Monday – Thursday – beginning Tuesday, May 31st through Thursday, June 30th. Due to the weather forecast for the next few days, Kindergarten graduation is being moved to Thursday, May 26th at 11:45 a.m. at Buffalo Stadium **Kindergarten students will be bussed over from the Elementary for the ceremony. **Parents are allowed to check their child out after the ceremony is over **Any Kindergarten student who is not checked out will be bussed back to the Elementary for early dismissal at 1:15 p.m.
