Giddings ISD is deeply saddened by the passing of Judy Bise, a beloved longtime member of our school community whose remarkable 46½ years of service touched generations of students, families, and staff.
Judy began her career with Giddings ISD in 1973 in the tax office before moving to Giddings Elementary, where she served for more than 30 years before retiring in December 2019. She was a loyal and dedicated member of the district, a wonderful office manager, and a constant source of support for her campus administrators and staff.
Those who knew Judy remember her kindness, nurturing spirit, sense of humor, and strong work ethic. She was always willing to help someone in need and had a way of knowing when a person needed encouragement, guidance, or sometimes a little tough love.
Judy is remembered for advice she shared with those around her, including a simple reminder that reflected the way she approached both her work and her life:
“Always do what you know is right and you will sleep well at night.”
Judy touched the lives of countless teachers, administrators, students, and families. Her dedication to Giddings ISD and the care she showed others helped shape the culture of Giddings Elementary and our district.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Judy’s family, friends, former colleagues, and the many members of the Giddings ISD family who were fortunate enough to know and love her. We are grateful for her extraordinary service and the lasting legacy she leaves behind.
