Beta Club Gives Check to Local Animal Shelter

GIDDINGS, TX — In a heartfelt demonstration of community service, Giddings Middle School’s Junior BETA chapter chose the Giddings Animal Shelter as their organization to support for the 2025-2026 school year. The club raised $300 through fundraising efforts, which was presented to the shelter in a special ceremony.

Christina Dill, representing the Giddings Animal Shelter, graciously accepted the award, accompanied by John Ostendorf. Karson Kemper, a BETA Junior member, presented the $300 check on behalf of the club. Other BETA members present for the occasion included Justin DeShelter, Owen Thamez, Payton Swonke, Aleyah McMillan, and Avery Leatherwood.

BETA Junior sponsors Barbara Holland and Dr. Josh Hatfield guided the student in support of their efforts. Dr. Hatfield expressed his pride in the group, stating, “We are proud of our students’ drive to support the animal shelter and become leaders in our community.”

The BETA Junior club’s dedication to service and leadership continues to make a positive impact on both the school and the Giddings community.
