School Profile


Giddings Intermediate School is a 4th and 5th grade campus with nearly 300 students. Each grade-level has 7 sections: 2 English/Language Arts, 2 Math, 2 Science/Social Studies, and 1 Bilingual classroom. Students are divided into 2 "pods" in their grade-level and rotate through English/Language Arts, Science/Social Studies, and Math with their homeroom class. Classes are on a 90-minute schedule to allow plenty of time for Small-Group, Guided Instruction. Students attend Lunch, Recess, and Specials (PE, Music, Art, Library, and Computers) in the middle of the day.

Giddings Intermediate School uses PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports) to give students positive reinforcement and ensure they rise to the occasion and meet high expectations.

Giddings Intermediate School expects "Only the BEST and nothing less" of its students and staff.
